My deepest condolences and prayers. Duane was a friend at SIU. He was a roommate in an apartment and I worked with him. I have generally lost touch but a friend had reached out about what happened. We were the types that a friend is always a friend and, although we were not in touch with each other, we were still friends! I will miss him!

Duane Dude was one of the best people that I have ever worked with. He never failed to say Semper Fi every time we met.

My prayers and sympathies for Dudes family. I met Dude about 11 years ago as we tackled problems with the new-to-FedEx 757 fleet. He was always a pleasure to work with, always willing to put forth the effort to get the job done, and super sharp with all things avionics. He was a true aviation professional and I will miss working with him. Thank you for your example, sir. Heaven has gained a great one!

I would just like to say to the Feltmeyer Family that I'm very sorry to hear about Duane's passing. Duane first hired into the Fedex Family here in the Hangar Avionics Department in Indianapolis, In.. I got to work with Duane every day of his first year or so here and showed him how everything worked here at Fedex. He always called me his mentor. I would just laugh. Duane was a very bright guy and a good worker. I know he will be missed by his Family and Fedex Family. So sorry again to hear this very sad news.

So sorry for the loss of someone who made such a positive difference in the lives of others. Dude was always positive and encouraging of everyone during difficult as well as good times. He was a good teacher, always helpful as a co-worker, and most importantly, a vocal steward of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dude lived his life as a Christ-like example to the rest of us who knew him and he loved to share and discuss the teachings of Jesus. He was a good man and I am blessed to have known him as a friend and brother in Christ.
