Duane Fredrick Jorgenson, 64, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 4-8 pm in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on November 11, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Steed Todd Funeral Chapel.

Duane graduated in 1976 from Riggs High School, Pierre, SD. After high school, he joined the Air Force and made this his career working as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. He married in 1977, with this marriage he was blessed with 2 children, Scott and Valerie Jorgenson. He had several overseas tours and was proud to serve his country in the Desert Storm War. Duane's last duty station was at Cannon AFB, Clovis NM, where he met the love of his life, June Myers Klein. They were married in 2000, and made Clovis their home. Duane retired from the Air Force and continued his education learning a new trade in HVAC. Duane was employed by Cox Refrigeration & Electric in 1996, where he worked for 25 years until his illness in 2019. He truly enjoyed his employment with them.

He always enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with his family. During his spare time, he enjoyed several hobbies including golf, hunting, fishing, pool, and bowling. While bowling in the league, he bowled three perfect games of 300. He was always very passionate and competitive with his hobbies.

Duane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Cleona Buss; John and Gertrude Jorgenson.

Duane is survived by his wife June. Children: Scott (Angie) Jorgenson, and Valerie Jorgenson; Parents, Derrel and Donna Jorgenson; Sisters, Deborah (Greg) Adams, Doreen (Skip) Whitney, and Deana (Jayme Deis) McCarther; Grandchildren, Riley Jorgenson, Madelyn Jorgenson, Morgan (Craig) Tesner, Landon Pullman, and Harper Pullman; Great Granddaughter, Scarlet Tesner; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
