Duane F. Pfaff

Passed away with his family by his side at Azura Assisted Living in Mukwonago on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of the late Ida May H. Pfaff (Nee Frank). Loving Father of Pamela (Steven) Massey, Paul Pfaff, Robin (Jeffrey) Eschenburg, Ted (Yolanda) Pfaff, Julia (Mark) McDonald. Dear Grandfather of Justin (Tairyn) Eschenburg, Chad Just, Ryan (Ashley) Eschenburg, Joshua (Casandra) Just, Tyler Gardella, Nicolas Gardella, Anthony Gardella. Great Grandfather of Kinsley, Jaxon, Tucker, Sadie, Zeke and Quinn. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was born in a small farm house in Mauston, WI on July 2, 1938 to Walter and Alice Pfaff. He was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on July 31, 1938 where he was also confirmed on June 22, 1952. He grew up in Mauston, Wisconsin and graduated from MHS in 1956.

He was united in holy matrimony to Ida May Frank on September 17, 1960 and shortly there after, they moved to Oak Creek, Wisconsin. This is when they were blessed with 5 children. Ida May preceded him in death on May 9, 2022.

He started in construction followed by a long employment at AAA Environmental Services for 36 years. As proof of his admirable work ethic, he worked part time until the age of 79 at the auto auction and Menards.

He enjoyed bowling with the St. Paul's Church league and deer hunting where he shot a 14 point buck in Necedah. Later in life, he and Ida played in a card club and loved camping with the Jack Pine Travelers RV club. His love was 57 Chevys and tractor pulls.

He was a member for 45 years at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Franklin, WI where he served in many volunteer roles including the school board. He was a current member of Living Water in Wind Lake, WI for 19 years.

The family would like to thank Jessica and the staff of Azura Hospice in Mukwonago for the wonderful care and compassion given to Duane and his family during this time. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Living Water Joy campaign would be appreciated.
