Duane Thews

My condolences to the family and friends of Senor Thews. I was fortunate to be a colleague of Duane's for several years in the 1960's, also teaching Spanish in the Manitowoc Public School system. I was the " new kid" in the foreign language department, and he, along with the other teachers, was so helpful and kind. Several of us worked together during a summer school developing curriculum, and he was an inspiration and truly dedicated to teaching. He also had a wonderful sense of humor!

I met Duane at Felician Village where I shared meals with my mother. He always had a smile for me, and we often shared fist bumps. Godspeed Duane. Kevin Pankratz

Mr. Thews was truly one of the best teachers I had during my years in MPSD. I loved his classes and he in part influenced my decision to become a Spanish teacher.

Mr. Thews was a good and kind teacher. Muy bien Senor Thews.

I was so close to you Dwayne Wayne he loved when I called him that sure going to miss you buddy!!
