Duane (Bob) Robert Wood, 66, passed away on January 12th, 2025 surrounded by close friends and family. Bob was born on September 7th, 1958 in Whiteland Indiana to Mary Jo and Robert Emerson Wood.
Growing up in a large family out in the country, Bob acquired a love for basketball and horses. He rode in rodeos and played basketball through his high school years at Whiteland High School, where he was a 1976 graduate. In the late 1970’s, Bob worked for his dad’s dealership, Country Ford in Shelbyville. After the closing, he moved on to Sharp Ford, Capital Ford, and finally Tom Roush. After 40+ years in the industry, Bob will always be remembered for putting his customers first. With that said, his greatest achievement in life was being a supportive father to his children and an involved grandfather (papa) to Leah and Graham.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his brothers Dale and Dana. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo; brothers, Dan (Brenda), Dave (Debbie), Doug, Dean, Donna (Brad); three children, David (Rachel), Matt (Ali), Sarah; and his two grandchildren, Leah and Graham.
Family and friends are invited to Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, on Friday January 17th at 5pm to pay their respects.
