Mark and I got to know Duncan and Rosemary in Ellensburg in the 1980´s when we joined a town/gown fundraising effort known as scholarship dinners. We gathered in each other´s homes and shared dinners planned around different cuisines and talked and laughed the evenings away. We also made a donation to Central at each gathering.

Duncan, who shared my grandfather´s given name, was a favorite of ours with his generous laugh and engaging stories. We didn´t cross paths in Olympia but knew that he lived here later in life and worked in Education.

Many condolences to those close to Duncan. May you tell stories of him often and remember him with gratitude and a sip of good scotch. -mary soltman
