Dusten "Kaleb" Fowee

Kaleb was family. The best young man I ever had the opportunity to get to know. There will never be anyone quite like Kaleb. He loved with his whole heart, put everyone he cared for above himself, and was the most genuine, loving, selfless person you´d ever meet. We miss him more than words can say and just pray that God brings some peace to Debra, Dusten and Kylie. We love you all and will never stop praying for you.

Dusten was a student in my Holocaust in Film class last fall at NKU, and his kind and warm demeanor is still glowing as I think back on that semester with him. The students journaled weekly about the really hard things we read and saw in class, and he had such profound and heartfelt responses. His maturity and compassion struck me. I am so sad to hear of his passing, but so glad to know he knew the Lord, and is with Him now. Dusten was luminous, and his presence on this planet has left an afterglow.
