Dustin Edward Dubiel, loving, son, grandson, fiancé and friend age 20, of Rhodes, Michigan, passed away on July 18, 2025, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on April 28, 2005, to Mark Dubiel and Monica Stenger, Dustin was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of his cherished family and friends. A proud graduate of Pinconning Area High School's class of 2024. At the time of his passing, he was a dedicated student in his second year at Delta College, where he was honing his skills as a welder. Dustin had a clear vision for the future; he aspired to share his passion for welding by teaching others the craft. His work ethic and commitment were evident to all, as he balanced his studies with his job at Home Depot, as well as seasonal jobs of farmwork and lawncare.

Dustin's life was a testament to his loving nature. He was pledged to marry his high school sweetheart, Mikayla Merithew, with whom he shared a deep bond and envisioned a future filled with love and happiness. His parents, Mark Dubiel and Monica Stenger, his grandmother Darlene Cole-Stenger, and his sibling Jacob (Shianna) Stenger, along with his treasured niece Addy, will forever remember Dustin's gentle heart and caring soul. Dustin will be missed by his very special aunts and uncles, Martha, Rita, Stephenie, Terry, Rod, Danny, and Steve. He also leaves behind his future in-laws, Mike & Apryl Merithew, and grandparents in laws Don and Denise Merithew, and brother-in-law, Remington Merithew, as well as a host of cousins, and countless friends, all of whom will miss his infectious laughter and warm presence. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Terry A. Stenger, Edward Dubiel, grandmother; Sandy Ratkos, uncles Randy, Terry, and cousins; Tiffany Weaver, and Randi Pierson.

Dustin savored every moment, whether he was hunting and fishing with his father and buddies, conquering new worlds in video games, or exploring new places. His love for travel was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends, with whom he cherished spending time. Dustin's friends, Anthony, Hayden, and Ethan, who he considered brothers for life, will carry forward the legacy of their adventures and shared laughter. Described by those who knew him best as loving, funny, and gentle, Dustin made an indelible impression on the world around him. His humor brought smiles to many, and his kindness touched the lives of those he encountered. Dustin's ability to see the good in people and to spread happiness was a gift that will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11 am from Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Reed Schroer presiding with cremation to follow. Friends may visit at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 pm. On Wednesday, Dustin will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service.
