DuWayne R. Sampson

DuWayne "Sam" Robert Sampson, 85 of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026. He was born October 2, 1940 to Clifford and Edna (Reinhardt) Sampson in Fond du Lac.
DuWayne served honorably in the United States Air Force. He married Debra Luttenberger on April 11, 1987.
DuWayne was employed with Mercury Marine until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the Eagles' Club for over 50 years. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler. Duwayne enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
DuWayne is survived by his wife, Debra, daughters Alexis (Dillon) Sokolik and Shannon Sampson, grandsons Bryson, Skylar, Mitchell and Jaden, and granddaughters Samantha, Jordan, and Lindsay. He is further survived by brother Neil (Lupe) Sampson, sister Kathleen Stadtmueller and brothers-in-law Dick Domenget, Mark (Gail) Luttenberger and Glenn Luttenberger.
Preceding DuWayne in death are his son Parker, granddaughter Annalise, parents, sister Judy Domenget, brother-in-law Scott Luttenberger, mother-in-law Lorraine (Bill) Kromm and father-in-law Joseph Luttenberger.
DuWayne's family thanks the SSM Health Cancer Center and SSM Home Health and Hospice for their care and compassion.
SERVICES: Friends and relatives are invited to Zacherl Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15th for visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
