Dwain Grant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service on Oct. 1, 2025.
Dwain Grant was born on March 13, 1929 in Melrose, NM to Guy and Minnie Grant. He and his only sibling, Dwight, attended school together from 1st grade through the years at Bethany Peniel College.
Dwain and Flo met at a neighborhood party and married on December 13, 1953. Their strong and committed love began the night of that initial meeting. They had two daughters, Pam (1955) and Jan (1956).
After a number of happy years in west Texas, the Grant family relocated to Bethany, OK where Dwain began teaching economics. As a part of those 18 years, he was asked to sponsor Mission Crusaders. This included travel over many weekends and in many churches. The connections with many of these students became an extension of the Grant family.
Dwain also established a real estate office in Bethany and thoroughly enjoyed helping people find new homes. Again, the entire family was involved and many friendships were formed.
Dwain Grant was a good man. He faithfully walked with God. He committed his life to the Lord when he was a very young child. From that point, he read the Bible, prayed and communed with God. His daughters can attest to the fact that he never made decisions lightly or spoke words carelessly. He was not haughty or arrogant. He loved God, his wife, his daughters, his grandchildren and hundreds of others. If your life touched Dwain's life in any significant way, he was likely praying for you on a daily basis.
On Saturday evening, September 13, 2025, he was welcomed into heaven by his Heavenly Father and his precious Flo. He is, and will always be, so terribly missed.
Dwain is survived by his daughters, Pam Grant and Jan (Bill) Moore; five grandchildren, Bronwyn (Andrew) Kieve, Bentley (Katie) DeVilling, Devon (Marshall) Dines, Justin Hannay (Laura) and Ryan (Makayla) Hannay; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Tuesday, 1-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 24 at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
