Dwain Mulkey Obituary
He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Ellijay, to the late Lesley Darnell Mulkey and Lula Tatum Mulkey. He was a front-end loader for Georgia Marble and was a member of the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Mulkey; son, David Mulkey and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Mitchell Mulkey, of Ellijay; daughter, Linda Stanfield, of Ellijay; eight grandchildren, Chad Stanfield, Trevor Stanfield, David Mulkey, Michelle Mulkey, Lesley Mulkey, Jenni Mulkey, Daniel Mulkey and Jacop Sherill; and seven great-grandchildren, Brantley Stanfield, Elora Stanfield, Riley Mulkey, Jasmine Mulkey, Amber Collins, Rachel Merrell and Deanna Nichols.
Funeral services to honor his life were held Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at 2 p.m. from the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Smith officiating. Congregational singing was led by Elder Smith. Graveside interment followed in the N.R. Mooney Sr. Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers, Chad Stanfield, Trevor Stanfield, David Mulkey, Jacop Sherill, Randall Mulkey and Gary Prather.
Bernhardt Funeral Home of Ellijay was entrusted with these arrangements.
