DWAYNE JEFFERSON Obituary

Visit the Golden Gate Funeral Home - Dallas website to view the full obituary.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dwayne Jefferson, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, who graced this world with his presence from December 2, 1959, until November 6, 2025. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Dwayne's life journey led him to Dallas, Texas, where his spirit, love, and laughter flourished.

Dwayne was not just an individual; he was a vibrant tapestry woven with the threads of dedication, warmth, and affection. An outgoing personality, he was well-known for his protective nature toward those he held dear. Family meant everything to him, and his greatest joy was encapsulated in his boundless love for his nieces and nephews, a reflection of both his caring heart and his nurturing spirit. Always impeccably dressed, Dwayne had a style that matched his mild manner—one that brought comfort and reassurance to those around him.

A proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School, class of 1978, Dwayne's accomplishments extended far beyond the classroom.  He was a cherished member of the SOC Golden Bears, embracing a passion for sports that carried into his later years as he remained a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys. When he wasn't cheering on his favorite team, you'd find him lost in the soulful tunes that brought him joy, perhaps reminiscing about his days playing sports or enjoying the simplicity of life.

He leaves behind cherished family members who will forever hold his memory close. His parents, Herbert and Bobbie Evans, continue to carry the legacy of their son, alongside his sisters, Karen Perot, (Anthony) and brother, Darron Evans, (Sherry), nieces, Erica Turner, Kayla Evans, Terri Ramirez; nephews, Ricky Omar, Rock Fields, Anthony K Perot, a host of great great nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends,  In their hearts, they will treasure not just memories, but the love and lessons Dwayne imparted throughout his life.

A viewing will be held in his honor on November 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. His funeral service will follow on November 22, 2025, commencing at 9:00 AM at the same location.

Dwayne Jefferson was more than just a name; he was an embodiment of love, family, and connection. As we celebrate his life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the indelible impact he made on the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will live on in every shared laugh, every cherished memory, and in the very essence of family that he so fiercely protected and adored. Rest in peace, dear Dwayne, until we meet again.
