Dwelda Ann Brown Smith, 69, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 at her home.
Dwelda was born March 7, 1956 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late Foster Jackson and Mary Frances Oliver Brown. She had worked with Richmond Yarns and as assistant manager of Food King in Rockingham for 16 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her dog Abbie, going to yard sales and thrifting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen McKinley Smith and brother, Ronald Brown.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Heather Smith Bryant (Bowtie); grandchildren, Jordan Smith (Kelsye), Hayden Smith, Madley Smith and McKinley Smith (Zach Harris); great grandchildren, Harper Harris, Oliver Smith and Arizona Smith and brother Kenneth Brown (Bonnie)
Services will be held privately at later date.
Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy 1 N, Rockingham, NC 28379.
