Dear Sandy: I was so sorry to read of Dwight's passing. My sympathy to you and Betsy and Barry. I remember his daily visits to the post office, the good conversations and his help giving me advice on investing and the stock market. He was one of the best and a true gentleman! I will miss him. Love to you!♥

Dwight and Sandy were our neighbors at Whispering Pines. We enjoyed our times together along with all our children's: Laurie, Leslie, Barry and Betsy. The Gates bought the campground from Jim's aunt and uncle but we have stayed in touch all these years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dwight's entire family. He was a great guy and loved the outdoors in Maine!

Sandy, our thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. We have thought of you & Dwight often since you left the park. You were such a sweet couple. Remember Dwight researching to see if we were related? Too bad we aren't! We will continue to keep you in our thoughts & prayers.

Just one of the most entertaining---and intelligent gentleman we've ever met...He nurtured that campground as long as he was able---tried to buy it from them to keep his goodwill to others preserved..alas, didn't happen--and we get it...Just always enjoyed the Gates' family's company--and WHISPERING PINES
