Dwight David Parks

Parks, Dwight (Ike) David 59 of Parma, MI, formerly of Saginaw, MI. passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Parks was the son of Anson Franklin and Marlene Marie (Wascher) Parks, born September 21, 1955 in Saginaw, MI. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Karen (Paek) Parks; five children, Gary (Chantelle) Parks, Christopher (Sara) Parks, Robert Parks, Ryah Howell, Alayna Parks; 11 grandchildren; two twin sisters, Crystal Smith, and Candice (Jon) Hafer; two brothers, Fred (Sharon) Parks, and Ken Krenz; many other extended family members. Ike was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dale Parks. He was a 1973 graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw. Ike served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 – 1979. He was a Quality Engineer for several manufacturing companies. Ike was a member of the Proud Veterans Motor Cycle Club. He enjoyed riding his 1999 Road King Harley Davidson, hunting, and fishing in Midland County. Ike was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life was held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in JACKSON, on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 4:00 P.M., Pastor Marty Johnston officiating. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
