To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person who played a outfielder. Dwight Smith was a former outfielder with the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves who won a World Series title with the Braves in 1995. He had a wonderful career in baseball. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Dwight Smith. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Dwight Smith.

My heart felt thoughts and prayers to the family. I will always remember your big smile walking around at SMC! I remember the day at Disney World, when you walked up to me and my family with your family and as only you do, started singing!! I turned and said, “NO WAY”, I know this isn’t Dwight Smith!! Keep Smiling Dwight and being that witty person!!

Dear Cheryl, “Little Dwight”, Shannyn, and Taylor,
I was so shocked to hear about Dwight’s passing!! My heart is broken for all of you!!
I will never forget him letting me “try on” his World Series ring in Dr. Tomeh’s office! I remember his great big warm smile and his beautiful, smooth voice.
It was always a real treat to see him around MHS too!! I felt like I was somebody because I knew him!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all!! I would love to see you all!! You are all very special to me! I would love to know if there will be a local service for him.
