GATE CITY, VA - Dwight Taylor, 72, of Gate City, went to be with the Lord, Sunday November 2nd, 2025, following a short illness.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randall Stapleton, Bro. Mark Todd and Pastor Bob Underwood officiating.

When I think of Dwight, I think.of a person who was friendly, pleasant, always working, a good neighbor, a Christian man. He will be very much missed by his family and friends.

Dwight Taylor was a caring Loving man who loved the Lord and Family, willing to help anyone with anything, never caring how he felt as long as he could help others. My wife and I were adopted by the family since we do not have any family here, we have known him for over 20 years, his kindness and love for others is not measurable. GOD gained a great angle we will miss you Dwight and will see you again someday, rest in heaven peacefully.

I dearly loved Dwight we always sat together in church . This was all so unexpected we worked together 2 and a half yrs . He helped me a lot down thru the yrs more like a brother to me than a brother in law you will be sadly missed love you buddy glad you are resting with the Lord
