Dwight Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Strong & Jones Funeral Home - Tallahassee on Jan. 21, 2026.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Dwight Williams.

Dwight Williams was born on February 19, 1952 in Miami, Florida to the late Judge Williams, Sr. and Beulah Chandler Williams. He departed this life on January 17, 2026 in Tallahassee, FL.

In his early years he attended the public schools of Miami-Dade County. He began his collegiate studies in the field of Radio-TV Technology at Miami-Dade Junior College. In 1972 he transferred to Florida State University where he graduated in 1974 after completing his studies in Communications and Still and Motion Picture Photography.

Upon graduating from Florisa State, Dwight returned to Miami where he began his managerial and supervisory work experiences in several diversified areas such as Delivery and Platform Store Manager of the Burdines Department Stores; Eastern Airlines; Standard Electric; Awards Lighting and Restoration Arts. Also during this time he became the private business owner of Prospector Restorations, performing antique and metal restorations and creating unique metal designs and fabrications.

After retiring, he moved to Warner Robins, GA where he resided for about 10 years. He eventually moved back to Tallahassee, FL where he enjoyed driving for both Uber and Lift services and meeting new and interesting people.

On behalf of the staff and management of Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Dwight Williams.
