July 23, 1992 - June 16, 2022
On Thursday, June 16, 2022, Dylan Brice Burleson of Concord, passed away at age 29, from a hereditary blood disorder.
Dylan was born July 23, 1992, in Charlotte, to the late Michael Todd and Natalie Stowe Burleson
He is survived by his brothers and sister, Austin Burleson, Christian Burleson, Mary Clarie Mullis, and Jackson Burleson.
Dylan was an incredible, loving, compassionate, and involved father to his daughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Burleson (age 5), and her mother, Hannah Burleson. His spirit will remain in each of his family members' hearts for the rest of their lives.
Dylan was known for his exuberant joy and light that he brought into every room. He treated others with love and kindness and always knew how to brighten someone's day with a smile or a kind word. His favorite passion was cooking as he received his culinary art degree from Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland. With this passion, he had the opportunity to showcase his professionalism of the culinary arts in different restaurants in the southeastern states. Chef Dylan was in his element in the kitchen either cooking for a fine dining establishment or Thanksgiving dinner with his dear family.
His passion for music was also something very special about Dylan. He loved to play the guitar, drums, and sing with others every chance he got. He was enthusiastic that music was a divine gift given to us by God to share hope and love to others. Dylan remained active his whole life playing sports, fly fishing, golfing, gardening etc. and anything that could keep him outside in nature.
A reception will be held Monday, June 20, at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 301 Mt. Olivet Rd. in Concord at 4 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m.
In honor of Dylan's life, the Burleson family will be establishing a trust fund for his daughter, Charlotte Burleson. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be given to the Charlotte Burleson Trust. Checks may be made payable to the Charlotte Burleson Trust and mailed to Natalie Burleson, 5015 Avent Dr. NW #102, Concord, NC 28027.
