Dylan was perhaps 8 or 9. He & I were seated beside each other watching Andy play ball at Clemmons. I was explaining to Dylan how Andy led the team as a point guard. Dylan listened intently and was obviously proud of his dad. Then, Andy got hurt and went down. Dylan was very concerned and started to run to his dad. I told Dylan to watch and wait because "... a good athlete will recover and get up to play; watch how all the other players are staying away from him thus allowing Andy to recover with dignity & respect. Andy finally arose to play. The guys on the floor simply came by and encouraged Andy. I told Dylan that his dad showed great dignity in the way he handled his pain. In my heart, I know that Dylan learned a lesson that day. I hope that he carried it with him. I am devastated to hear of Dylan's passing. I am so sorry. God bless Andy, Cindy, Caroline, Lynn, and Glen. Mike Buckner

Dear Swaim family, I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Dylan. I enjoyed seeing him when you all are on the island. My deepest sympathies and lots of love to you all.
