In memory of
John Burr Bassel
June 4, 2024
I was a classmate of Vernon at Vanderbilt medical school. ( We never called him " E" ). I remember him as a smart, capable, and caring person. More than anything else, I remember him as being just a nice guy.

Our prayers are with his family and friends. Dr. Anderson was one of my daughter´s physicians at the Christie Group during her childhood. He was always so pleasant and gentle and had a way of calming the little ones (not to mention the parents!!) when the visits weren´t for the well!! He blessed countless families and was truly an example of a great Physician. The Burress´ Family

I´m so sad to hear this news. I worked with Dr. Anderson for much of my 44 years at the hospital. He was always so kind and was a gentle soul. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for all of you.

This was such a shock. I was a nurse at Greenville Memorial Hospital and worked with Dr Anderson for over 20 years. He was an amazing physician and friend. A gentle soul that was always eager to educate the nurses. Dr Anderson was also in my exercise class at The Life Center. We had some fun times together. A part of my heart grieves for his loss and for Gwynn. With his faith in God we will meet again. Prayers to his family

Dr Anderson was one of the kindest and caring people I have ever known. I worked with him for many years at Memorial Hospital. He. Was always ready to share his knowledge with the nurses and his patients. My prayers are with his family during this time of sadness. Take comfort in knowing you will see him again. Much love and many prayers to all of you.

Dr Anderson was such an incredibly patient, kind, and smart pediatrician. It was always a joy to have him care for both of my children during their pediatric years.
I also enjoyed seeing him at the Saturday Market in Greenville and catch up with him about his life and my children as they grew into adults.
He will be very missed by so many people!
Blessings and prayers to Gwyn and all of his family.

I worked with Dr. Anderson at Christie Group for about 12 years; always loved him & his wife. I really hated when he retired but was so happy for him. I'm praying for you Gwyn & your family.

To a wonderful and caring Great Physician who now rests in the arms of the Greatest Physician for eternity. He patiently cared for our children throughout their childhood through the Christie group. My late wife and I often talked about the tremendous care received from Dr. Anderson. We were so grateful.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire family. May memories bless you today and sustain you in the future. God bless each you during this difficult time.
