E. Allen Brady, 77, of Gassaway entered his heavenly home on the morning of Friday, November 21, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 22, 1947, in Gassaway to the late Amos L. "Pete" Brady and Edith Jeanette Wood Brady.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Keith Brady; and infant son, Thomas Keith Brady.

Allen loved being around his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. In the winter he was a snowbird and he and his wife traveled and stayed in Florida for several months of the year. One could often find Allen at the local restaurants having coffee with friends. Allen had 25 years of service and retired from WV American Water Company. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM #133 of Gassaway. He was a member of the Beni Kedem Temple of Charleston and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Charleston. Allen was a former member of the Gassaway Volunteer Fire Department.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife and best friend of 57 years, Lela Posey Brady; son, Robert Allen Brady and wife, Lisa, of Gassaway; daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Oates and husband, Jamie, of Gassaway; grandchildren, Mara Brady, Cooper Brady, Olivia Brady, Jacob Oates and wife, Lacey, and Emily Oates; and great grandchildren, Bentley Heater and Grayson Heater.

Allen's visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Gassaway Baptist Church.

His funeral will take place at 11 A.M. Monday, November the 24th at the church with Pastor Mark Stump officiating.

Burial with Masonic rites will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Braxton Animal Shelter, 10 Animal Shelter Lane, Sutton, WV 26601 or the Gassaway Baptist Church, PO Box 128, 56 Beall Drive, Gassaway, WV 26624.
