E. Christine Fager

E. Christine Fager, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 7:43 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1929 in Kokomo to the late Herbert and Maude (Christian) Irick. On November 7, 1948 she married G. Thomas Fager; he preceded her in death April 28, 2012. Christine graduated from Kokomo High School in 1947 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kokomo Chapter #89. Surviving is a son; Thomas K. Fager, Indianapolis, three daughters and sons-in-law; Terry L. and Brett Needler, Kokomo, Jeanette K. Sizemore, Indianapolis, Lisa A. and Douglas Soblotne, Kokomo, seven grandchildren; David Prewitt, Nicole Fager, Ashley Garner, Erika Fager, Kory Wagler, Lauren Soblotne, Nathan Soblotne, and wife, Robyn. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter; Shelby Lynn Fager, one sister; Nora "Bootie" Ulrich, three brothers; Dallas, Dennis, and James Irick. The family would like to thank an "adopted" daughter, Stephanie Bowlin, her son Dylan and Shelby Ransbottom, for all of their care, love and support, for the compassionate care Christine received and a special thank you to Erin from Premier Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street with Brother Jim Soblotne officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shrine Club or the Indiana Foster Allies Aiding Families (IFAAF), envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
