Jones Grasley, 83, of Harvard, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.She was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Rockford, to Gust and Beda (Halstrom) Johnson. She married Gordon Jones on May 1, 1943. He died April 10, 1976. She married George Grasley on Feb. 20, 1982.She had the distribution of Rockford Newspapers in the '50s and '60s from her home. The delivery boys would pick up the papers at her house and deliver their routes. She then worked at Jefferson School as a cook for many years. Along with her son, John, she owned the Dari Ripple in Walworth, Wis., in the late '70s. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard. She grew up in the Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo and also attended the Presbyterian Church in Harvard. She was an avid golfer and baker.Survivors include her husband, George Grasley; four children, Tom (Carol) Jones of Mission, Texas, Bill (Donna) Jones of Big Foot, John (Dee) Jones of Woodstock and Linnea (Steven) Kinney of Walworth, Wis.; 11 grandchildren, Tom Jones Jr., Scott Jones, Lance (Amy) Jones, Tammy (Jones) Perez, Tiffany (Matt) Wogsland, Jay Jones, Christa (Nate) Dame, Alyssa Jones, Jeff Kinney, Shane Westphal and Brianna Kinney; a great-granddaughter, Sara Jones; five stepchildren, Wanda (Neil) McKinnell of Lake Geneva, Wis., Robert (Cheryl) Grasley of Harvard, Keith (Carol) Grasley of Rockford, Chris (Peggy) Grasley of Woodstock and Martin (Connie) Grasley of Byron; 10 step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter (Carol) Johnson of Union.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gordon Jones; and a brother, George Johnson.The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins St., Harvard. Interment will be at Mt.
