E. Latta Obituary
Joan graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and a year later married Judson Latta on June 12, 1949. She and Jud were both active in the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. She played the piano, taught Sunday School, and was an active member of the Women's Missionary Society.
She and Jud were married for 61 years, and He passed away in June of 2011. Joan is preceded in passing by her parents and is survived by her daughter Dawn (Bill) Crawford, her son Ron (Tina) Latta, 5 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, by her sister Virginia VanHuypen, and one sister-in-law, Janet Burch.
At Joan's request, cremation has taken place, and she will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan, next to her husband Judson at a later date.
For those who wish, a memorial contribution can be given in Joan's honor to the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church located at 3030 Beckly Rd., Battle Creek, Michigan 49015
