Earl C. Bryant, 91, passed away October 15, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born April 24, 1921 in Pendleton, Indiana and was a longtime resident until relocating to N. Ft. Myers, Florida where he has been a resident for many years. Earl retired from Guide Lamp division of GM in Anderson as a tool and die cast engineer after 47 years service. He was an Air Force and Army veteran serving in World War Two and the Korean War. Earl was a 1940 graduate of Pendleton High School. He was a member of Pendleton Christian Church; American Legion Post 117, Pendleton; 40 & 8, Anderson; Madison Masonic Lodge 44 F.&A.M., Pendleton and attended Family Life Community Church in Pendleton. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in Florida and was a visiting missionary to the sick and homebound. Survivors include two children, Paula Bryant of Pendleton and children, Lisa Mann of Ft. Wayne and Anthony (wife, Kikue) Montgomery of Honolulu, Hawaii and Gregg A. (wife, Barbara A.) Bryant of Pendleton and sons, Zachary and Joshua Bryant both of Pendleton; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Brittani Mann; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Bennett) Bryant; son, Flint Bryant; grandson, Christopher Bryant; parents, Lawrence and Hester (Miller) Bryant; brother, Howard Lee Bryant; and sister, Elizabeth Mowrey. A service will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, October 19, 2012 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Chris Kellermeyer officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in East Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 P.M., Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Lahm Chapel and will include a masonic memorial service at 8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Community Church, P.O. Box 162, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
