Earl Jefferson "Jeff" Daniel

DANIEL, Earl Jefferson "Jeff", of Richmond, passed peacefully in his home on January 10, 2024. He was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to Alfred and Matilda Daniel on September 26, 1936. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Belle Newton Daniel. He is survived by his son, Johnny Earl and Doreen Daniel; daughter, Virginia Dale Daniel Stewart; grandson, Christopher and Katie Stewart; granddaughters, Melissa Payton and Charlie Walsh; Karen and Jerald Harrison; Kelly and Buddy Anthony; Shelly and Camron Mitchell; and Julie and Marquis Neece; eight great grandchildren, Jimmy and Matt Payton; Carter, Grayson and Izzie Stewart; Chandler and Deacon Anthony; and Christopher and Mia Neece; and bonus great granddaughters, Alisha Walsh and Tessa Mitchell. Earl retired from Greater Richmond Transit Company in 2001 after 42 years of service.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, Virginia, 23230, and service to be held immediately following at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
