I met Earl while we were both at IU. He always had a smile on his face and goodwill in his heart. I always looked forward to his funny Christmas cards. My greatest time with Earl was when we hitchhiked down into Texas and then took a bus to Monterray Mexico. We were gone 10 or 12 days and had a great time. We always laughed when we remembered the time in Texas when a guy yelled at us "El hippy..el hippy.. do you have a cigarette? Whenever I think of him I get a smile on my face. My sympathies to all of you.
