Earl "EJ" Halverson

July 4, 2025, age 63 years. EJ was the beloved son of Melody Gensler, the late Earl (Mickey) Halverson, and was the stepson of Sonny Gensler. The cherished father of Shawanna Campbell Lindenberg. The Loving brother of Kim (Ron) Heyen and Scott Halverson. The loving uncle of Jackie (Jason) Gailey, Nick (Stephanie) Heyen, and Stephanie Newman. He was the great-uncle of Noah, Finnegan, Mason, Josephine, Garrison, and Leon. EJ is further survived by his dearest friend Bernice Campbell, his four-legged "kids" Jerry and Grizzly, many dear cousins and other relatives, as well as countless friends who he considered family.

EJ was known for his quick wit, friendliness, and lifelong loyalty to his friends. He was generous, always ready to help, and valued both family and his tribe of close-knit friends.

EJ loved the open road. It was that love that led him to own his own trucking company – eventually owning multiple trucks and driving many miles over the years.

EJ was very artistic. When he began cooking, he found he had a passion for gourmet cooking and loved preparing gourmet meals for both family and friends whenever he had the chance. EJ worked various jobs over the years, but again, it was when he got a job as a specialty painter that his artistic talent shone, especially in customized faux-finished painting.

EJ enjoyed boating. Maybe it was the effortless gliding across the water, wind whipping through his hair and beard, made it fun. But of his many hobbies and pastimes, it was riding his Harley that EJ enjoyed the most. The social aspect of riding with others was exhilarating for him and the camaraderie he shared while riding in "the pack" brought him true joy.

At the end of the day, it was his family and friends who were the most important thing to EJ. Family and friends confided in him and trusted him. He was a truly giving person. EJ was one-of-a-kind – he had a generous heart and a kind spirit and he will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

EJ's family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Froedtert Menomonee Falls for their kindness and compassionate care for not only EJ, but for them as well – it is truly appreciated.
