Earl Nathaniel Kolb, Jr., of Harrisonville, Missouri, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the age of 79, in Raymore, MO. A memorial visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.
Born on August 30, 1946, in New Castle, Indiana, to Earl and Betty (Hammond) Kolb, Earl grew up in Anaheim, California, where he graduated from Anaheim High School in the Class of 1964. After high school, Earl proudly served in the United States Navy from September 1964 until his discharge in November 1970, a chapter of his life that he held dear. In 1993, he met the love of his life, Lorrie Michael, and they married in 2002, creating a warm and joyful household that echoed with laughter.
A true jack of all trades, Earl dedicated much of his working life to driving trucks, navigating the open roads with the adventurous spirit that defined him. He loved motorcycles and was often described by his sons as someone who could "cause chaos" wherever he went. With a mix of mischief and a zest for life, Earl embraced experiences to the fullest, always seeking new adventures and opportunities to connect with others.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Earl "Willie" Kolb; his granddaughter, Aaliyah; and his sister, Peggy Kolb. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie; his sons: Skyler (Jenah) Kolb and Colby Jones; his daughter, Lacy Kolb; and his grandchildren: Elijiah Jones, Isaiah Jones, and Mathias Jones, who brought him immense joy. His spirit of adventure and his ornery side will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
