On Saturday March 7, 2026, Earl F. Malwitz passed away at the age of 101 , beloved husband of the late Gloria J. Malwitz (nee Schwarz); brother of the late Leonard A. Malwitz; devoted father of Glenn E. Malwitz and his wife Nancy, Leslie J. Cain and John E. Malwitz and his wife Robin; cherished grandfather of Kimberly Malwitz Kutchins, Kent Malwitz, Lindsay Parks, John Cain, Timothy Cain, Jessica Fonte, Andrew Malwitz and Emily Malwitz; great-grandfather of Kara Kutchins, Jack Kutchins, Riley Malwitz, Paige Malwitz, Marlie Parks, Jackson Parks, Evelyne Fonte and Charlotte Fonte; cousin of Guilfred Vogt.
Earl’s fascination with flight began in his youth, when he spent countless hours building and flying model air planes, nurturing a curiosity about the skies that stayed within him throughout his life. After serving his country on a ship in WWII as a member of the Army Air Corps, he became a private pilot and especially loved sharing the cockpit with his brother Leonard, also a private pilot. He took great pride in the family he and Gloria built together, drawing strength and joy from his three children, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren whose lives were deeply enriched by his presence.
