Earl F. Plummer III

Earl F. Plummer III, 58, a resident of No. Billerica, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Janice E. Dwyer Plummer.
He was born in Waltham on July 23, 1966, and was the son of Mary Torilli Plummer of Chelmsford and the late Earl F. Plummer, Jr.
Earl was raised in Chelmsford on a quiet road where he ran and played with childhood friends. He graduated from Nashoba Tech in 1985 where he studied welding. Earl joined the Navy in September 1985 and was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation CV-64 at San Diego, CA. Earl worked as a 'grape' fueling jet planes, traveling the world and spending time on the ocean. He loved every moment of it and carried the memories with him for all his days.
Earl was honorably released from active duty in 1988 and returned home to Massachusetts. He married his love, Janice, on January 10, 1992. Earl loved being a father, riding his motorcycle, playing golf with his son, growing his 'garden' and skiing.
He was always working on a project, whether rebuilding a motorcycle or on a puzzle with his family. He spent his winters volunteering as an adaptive ski instructor with NEHSA at Mt. Sunapee.
Earl passed away on a warm November evening after a ten year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He is remembered for his positive, calm spirit and fighter's endurance.
In addition to his loving wife and his mother, Earl leaves his devoted children, daughter Janelle Plummer and fiancé Ross Spencer, and son Frankie Plummer and wife Olivia Plummer.
He is remembered by his cherished sisters, Cathy Brackett and husband Tom, Cindy Brown and husband Bob, and Connie Mason. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends remain to tend to his memory as well.
Preceding Earl in death are his father, Earl F. Plummer, Jr; his grandparents; nephew, Keith Palmer; and remembered friend Griff.
Memorial donations in Earl's name may be made to New England Healing Sports Association at PO Box 2135, Newbury NH 03255 or New England Healing Sports Association or Dana Farber Cancer Institute, at PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284 or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Blake Chelmsford Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. His funeral service will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
