Earl Sausma Obituary
Earl E. Sausman, 80, of Eveleth died Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at home with his family.
He was born on October 10, 1943 in Hibbing to Donald H. and Esther K. (Wallinder) Sausman.
Earl grew up on the Iron Range and was united in marriage to Nancy J. Hammitt on March 2, 1968 in Duluth.
Following their marriage, they lived in several cities before moving to Eveleth in 2007.
Earl began working for LTV in 1970, retiring after 30 years. He later worked for NHS for a number of years.
Earl loved to fish, taking care of the farm and his animals. He especially enjoyed traveling, including trips to Florida, Branson and Nashville.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Heather; son, Brian; grandchildren; brothers, Bruce (Claudia) Bennett, Gary (Judy) Bennett; sister, Linda Salo and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, John; brothers, William, LeRoy and Donald and parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
