Earl Shuler

Balsam, Earl L Shuler, age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late John and Elsie Conner Shuler and was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Earl loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He was a member of Victory House of Prayer. Earl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carrie Belle Stiles Shuler; daughter, Carolyn Key and husband, Dale, of Aiken, South Carolina; son, Ronnie Shuler and his wife, Brenda, of Franklin, Virginia; sister, Autherine Gibson; brothers, Doyle, Carroll and Kenneth Shuler; three grandchildren, Shane, Jason and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Karl Zielke and Reverend Robert Stiles officiating. Burial will follow at Red Bank Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.
