Earl Steinbicker

It was my good fortune to have spent most of the last three decades listening to Earl spin tales about his adventures with Richard Avedon in NYC, about his achievements as an independent fashion photographer in his Fifth Avenue studio, about his countless travels to Europe and the Caribbean with models and assistants, about the backgrounds to his scores of travel books.

In addition to being a spellbinding conversationalist, and writer, Earl was one of the kindest and most gracious human beings I have ever met. The world was a good deal poorer on Christmas day, 2024. I shall miss him terribly.

I greatly enjoyed our walks together in whites road park for the past year and a half, and learning about everything he had to say. He had many a great story to share! I will miss him very much.
