Unka Earl: I will miss visiting you and Aunt Irma and the cookies and milk you gave me since I was big enough to eat. I understand about getting very sick and going to Heaven and hope you are feeling much better now.

My heart has been aching since the phone call on 7/22 from Jr. that the cancer had returned;each passing week brought more complications and more pain for him to endure; we take comfort in the knowledge that he is in the arms of Jesus and pain free now;we look forward to joining him and our other family members one day.

Irma, Steve, and Matt:
I have such fond memories of uncle Earl. When I was little, I remember he loved to make us chocolate milkshakes in the blender. He loved Elvis, and always had the latest hit song playing. As a young boy, it was a special treat to go to an R-Braves game and go up in the press box at the Diamond (Parker Field then) and visit him. He would always take the time to explain baseball strategy to me. My dad, Earl, and I, used to play golf together. He was so fun to play with – endless laughter! At family events, he always had the camera out and took pictures – where would we be as a family without uncle Earl’s photos? Earl was a pleasant man. I don’t believe I ever heard a cross word from him. And, his laugh was so infectious. It was so much fun just to have him around.
All of you and your family members are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of great loss.
Love, Bernie
