Earl was an excellent teacher and I considered him a good friend. I enjoyed watching his interactions with his son, Earl, during young Earl's championship wrestling days. Young Earl was a true Gentleman on and off the mat, win or lose (although he rarely lost). His attitude and demeanor are a direct reflection on his upbringing by his wonderful parents, Earl Sr. and Leola.
