Earl George Walker-age 83, born September 16, 1941, of 9101 Three Points Rd., Mascot, formerly of Maynardville passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Heritage Assisted Living, Knoxville. He is retired from the Tennessee State Department of Transportation. He was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Walker; sons, Ronnie Turner and wife, Connie, Donnie Turner and wife, Shelia; his parents, Andy and Cora (Sharp) Walker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Stella Walker, James Houlk and Vernice Walker, Perry Dewayne Walker; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara Gabriel, Cecelia and Floyd Brantley, Ethel and Jake Dennis, Archie Emory, Joann Ashburn, Irene and Marion Nelson, Zola Mae and Hurles Henegar.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Cochran and husband, Henry, Earl Ernie Walker and wife, Veronica, Randy Turner and wife, Geri, Patricia Nicely, Connie Williams; sister, Pauline Emory; sisters-in-law, Irene Walker and Polly Gray Cox; 26 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; special grandson and granddaughter, Freddy Olivares and Yoland Sanchez; special devoted friend and caregiver, Summer R. Beeler; special friend, Shirley Chesney and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all staff at Heritage Assisted Living, and U.T. Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Jimmy Davidson officiating. Interment service will be held immediately after the funeral service at Ailor Dale Church Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers will be Jerry Cochran, Taylor Cochran, Ryan Turner, Sheldon Turner, Shaun Turner, Adam Williams. Honorary pallbearer, Freddy Olivares. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
