Earle Christenson

Our reasons for living a meaningful life are often found in our realationships with others. Earle provided a constant in my life that gave me a sense of security. He was a man of Christian faith and he demonstrated those values rather than talk about them. My journey in this life will be less connected now that Earle has moved on. He will be missed. Earle was a lucky man. He chose Addie for his wife!

Earle loved opera. We can only imagine what he heard upon his reception with the Lord. Here are a few of his favorites:

Earle and Addie are my "second" parents and I thank God for them.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mr.Christenson was my Home Room teacher 74-76. He always had story - usually with a lesson learned for an ending. He will be missed.

25 years later (Park Center Class of 1983) I still have fond memories of Mr. C & Saturday morning play practice in the theatre. My condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to Adeline and the entire Christenson family:

What a great yet humble man "Mr. C." was! My heartfelt admiration and respect for the man will stay with me forever. Surely every mortal must have their faults, but as God is my witness, I NEVER once saw one of HIS during the 32 years I knew him!

In his teaching career of almost 1/4 century, the cumulative effect he had on so many of his students and young people was immeasurable.

The eternal kindness and generosity he bestowed upon his students was truly amazing!

There are 2 things I admired most about Mr. C.: 1) the real and unconditional RESPECT he showed to young people at such a critical time in our lives, and 2) his great sensitivity and understanding of the "human condition"; he CHOSE to see the good in every one of us!

I will forever cherish the fun memories we had as his students, going to your summer "cottage". The cottage was YOUR sanctuary, and you shared it with us, Mr. and Mrs. C.! Thank you!

The hundreds of us over the years who spent countless hours rehearsing plays at Park Center saw first-hand his incredible humor, creativeness, and the thoughtful discipline he showed us in directing a production. He made us laugh, but he also inspired us to focus and concentrate on the task at hand.

Now his tired and weary body can find its rightful place of peace and comfort; his wonderful spirit will live on forever in the lives of hundreds (if not thousands) of young people he touched everywhere. There must be a very special spot reserved for him in heaven as well as in the hearts and minds of all who had the pleasure to know him! I loved and admired him greatly!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Earle. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have fond memories of our teaching years together at Park Center High School.

I graduated from Park Center high school in 1983. Unfortunately, I never had "Mr. C" as a teacher, but I always enjoyed interacting with him between classes and at school events. I know that my sister Rita had him for her English teacher. She speaks fondly of him and remembers his coining the phrase "Quizzy Whizzy" when giving students a test. I think his off-beat sense of humor was wonderful. God Bless you in heaven, Mr. C!

The world has lost a great teacher. Earle was my debate coach when I was a student at Park Center back in 1976. He was one of my most memorable and influential teachers. My condolences to his family.

Addie and family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. As you know, Mr. C meant so much to me. It true that a teacher can change lives; he changed mine.

I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to reconnect with him in the last few years. What a gracious, sweet and wickedly funny man! And, you, Addie, were his everything. You two were quite the pair, and an example of an enduring and loving partnership.

You are in John's and my prayers during this time of mourning.God's peace be with all of you.
