Earlene Davidson, 97, of Whitt, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024. She was born on May 31, 1927, in Breckenridge, Texas, and lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication.
Earlene was a woman of many talents and passions. She served as a broker, a florist known for her creative arrangements, a gifted songwriter and musician who brought joy through her music, and a skilled painter whose art captured the beauty of her surroundings.
Most importantly, Earlene dedicated herself to ministry as a preacher of the gospel, touching people with her faith-filled nuggets of wisdom, and living each day with her eyes fixed on heaven.
Together with her husband Jay, Earlene dedicated her life to her faith. Throughout their ministry, they pastored seven different churches over the course of 50 years. Their evangelistic efforts reached far beyond the walls of these churches. When Jay passed on, Earlene continued the calling, evangelizing at many different churches and becoming the executive pastor at Philips Chapel in Mineral Wells, Texas. Her heartfelt sermons and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Earlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay V. Davidson; her son, Ron Davidson; her son-in-law, Keith Shirley; and her grandson-in-law, Matthew Littlepage.
She is survived by her children, Scherry Webb and husband, Johnie, Patti Stam and husband, Dale, and Jeanne Shirley, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. She is survived by her 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy throughout her life.
A celebration of Earlene's life will be held on Monday, July 1st, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, at 11:00 a.m. The viewing will be held at the same location on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.
