Earlene Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Baker-Isaac Funeral Services - Bridgeport on Jan. 6, 2026.
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Earlene Williams who entered eternal rest in the Arms of our Lord on January 5, 2026.

Earlene was born November 16, 1938, in Augusta, GA to Alean Wright and Benjamin Williams.

Earlene was known to Family and Friends as a caring a person. She was a proud graduate of Lucy Craft Laney High School in Augusta, GA. She relocated to Bridgeport, CT in 1957 where she built a life centered around her passion and loved ones.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly cooking, shopping, thrifting, and sewing. She was a devoted fan of Steve Havey, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune and her home was often filled with the sounds of her favorite programs.

Earlene began her professional journey as a Cosmetologist where she found joy in helping others feel confident and beautiful. She had a natural eye for detail and a warm spirit that turned clients into lifelong friends. Later in life, she followed a calling to even deeper service by transitioning to a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

As a CNA, Earlene's cosmetology background often shined through by using her skills to help her patients feel their best during their most difficult times. She didn't just provide medical support, she provided dignity. Her patients and colleagues alike knew her for her steady hands, her compassionate heart, and her unwavering dedication to the well-being of others.

Earlene was preceded in death by her mother Alean Wright, her father Benjamin Williams, her step-father James Wright, her sister Patricia Wright, her aunt Grace Knox, and her uncle Ernest Byrd.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sisters, Beulah Banks and Kathleen Wright Jones, her brothers Tommie Wright and Ernest Wright, her dear cousin Delores Young, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, who will miss her dearly.
