Early Dale Williams

Early "Dale" Williams age 66 of Rocky Mount passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a long illness at 2:33 PM in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was an employee with VDOT for 27 years. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Adrianna Leigh Himmel; parents, Alexander "Bobby" and Martha "Carol" Williams; sister, Shirley Jane Williams (Perry); brother, Alex Williams; father-in-law, Frankie Thompson; several brothers-in-law; and two nieces.

Dale is survived by his wife, Ginger Thompson Williams; daughter, Tara Williams Himmel; granddaughter, Sierra Nicole Hodges; two grandsons, Elijah Dale Himmel, and Daniel "Zadian" Dewitt; two great-grandchildren, Julian and Gabby Alvarez which was the apple of his eyes and made his heartbeat; siblings in his brothers, Gary and Ina Williams, Davey and Felicia Williams, Artie, WV; Randy and Andrea Williams, Fayetteville, WV; sister, Sandra Williams Scarboro, Ameagle, WV; sister-in-law, Melody Williams, Artie, WV. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law all by marriage; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Tommy Johnson, and Robert Patterson.

Dale loved to collect guns and loved old model cars. He enjoyed and loved family gatherings and cookouts as he was everyone's favorite grill chef. He also loved the summertime for family vacations. Dale was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He has now entered into Heavens gates, his forever home.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home. His family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
