Earnestine Knight Obituary
Earnie was a Charlotte, NC native born August 30th, 1944. Daughter of Daniel and Bessie Skipper. Earnie was a lover of the outdoors; her favorite seasons were spring and summer, so she could work in her yard, planting flowers and grow vegetables. Earnie had a soft spot for baseball and dirt track racing from her husband, son, and grandsons shared interest. Earnie enjoyed a good laugh, music, and cooking meals that brought her family and friends together on Sundays for cherished quality time.
A devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend; survived by her daughter Sharon Knight Sullivan and spouse Horace Sullivan, her son Tim Knight and spouse Karen Knight, grandsons Blake Perry and Chase Perry and wife LaTracia Perry, granddaughters Abigail and Caroline Knight, great grandchildren Chasity, Camari, Cali, and Cami Perry and her grand dog Izzy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jennings Knight of 42yrs, her parents Daniel and Bessie Skipper and her six siblings, Revelene, Bud, Evelyn, Ruby, Ralph, and Frankie.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3pm Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
