Ed Hudson Catron

Ed Catron, 84, of Rising Sun, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 30, 2016. Born in Tazwell, VA on November 01, 1931, he was the son of the late Lewis Robert and Susie (Atwell) Catron. Ed was a security guard for many years. He greatly enjoyed doing word search puzzles, dominos, and playing cards. He also loved watching baseball and football, and listening to Blue Grass and Gospel. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Peggy Catron of Rising Sun, MD; daughters: Rhonda Lavonne Garcia of Martinsburg, WV, Brenda G. Joseph and husband Roy of Havre de Grace, MD, Lisa A. Christley of Rising Sun, MD, and Audrey D. Klein and husband Jeff of Aberdeen, MD; sister, Shirley Few of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren: Amy Brant, Seth Garcia, Courtney Catron, Jesse Catron, Tyler Catron, Hannah Catron, Aaron Christley, Dillon Christley, Ethan Christley, and Olivia Joseph; and great-grandchildren: Dakota Overstreet, Savanna Overstreet, Ryley Overstreet, Abby Brant, T.J. Brant, Bentley Brant, Kadence Mills, Alize Behrenshouser, Cali Behrenshouser, Gio Behrenshouser, Carter LaFrance, Adric Catron, Aubree Christley, Aiden Christley, and Bryce Christley. Ed also had numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Allen Catron; and siblings: Don Catron, Helen Catron, Rob Catron, Jack Catron, Bill Catron, Howard Catron, Lewis Catron, Roy Catron, and Ida Grubb. Services will be held in Ed's honor at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10 AM. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery.
