Eddie Collier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Divine Mortuary, Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 8, 2025.
Eddie Ray Collier passed away amongst close family on February 7, 2025 at his home in Lilburn, GA after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born in Austin, TX on June 20, 1950, Eddie attended school in the Austin Independent District and graduated from Crockett High School in 1966.
Eddie moved to Atlanta in 1975, where he met the love of his life, Sheila Bonds of Allston Massachusetts, with whom he would be married for almost 45 years and have two children, Tiffany and Brandon. Eddie's professional career included several entrepreneur endeavors, and he also spent years as a Docutech Specialist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Eddie touched many people throughout his life with his infectious, bright personality that brought light to many with his humor and genuine caring nature. Notorious for his unparalleled style, Eddie exemplified being the life of the party, who never met a stranger and had friends from every walk of life. Eddie lived his life out loud and never let anyone dampen his spirit.
An avid fisherman, Eddie also enjoyed travelling, especially making trips back to Texas to celebrate Juneteenth and his birthday with his family. After his days growing up as an athlete and as a prolific tennis player in his adult years, Eddie loved watching sports of all kinds with friends and family. He also enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, barbecuing, and listening to his collection of classic old school music records. He was also proud of his involvement at Kingdom Investment Ministry in Tucker, where he served as a Deacon.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Collier; his daughter, Tiffany Intza, and her husband, Pete, of Atlanta; son, Brandon Collier and granddaughters, Camille Collier and Fallon Lewis of Atlanta; and sister, Cheryl Lynn Collier of Austin, TX. He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Mae Collier; grandmother, Ruthie May Mackey Matthews; sisters, Bernadette Collier Howard and Diane Collier; and brothers, Donald Lee Collier and Mark Steve Collier.
There will be a celebration of Eddie's wonderful life at Kingdom Investment Ministry in Tucker on Saturday, February 22 at 1pm.
