Eddie Crowder was larger than life in my eyes. Both my parents went to CU and even though we lived in Pueblo my dad would take me to CU games. When it came time for me to go to college I only applied at CU and started in 1969. Eddie was a fixture by that time and football games were a must go. People dressed up (we wore our plaid pleated wool skirts and a matching sweater and matching knee socks. Eddie was a god in my eyes. He not only was a great coach, he inspired all students at CU with tradition and pride. I loved Eddie and want his family to know that his time spent at CU was greatly appreciated and we'll spent, even though it probably took away from his own family time. He was revered!
