Eddie Lynn Hicks

Eddie Lynn Hicks-age 79 of Knoxville was freed from his earthly chains and moved to his heavenly home Wednesday, March 18, 2026, following a valiant 16-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Eddie was a softy at heart in spite of the tough guy exterior he often displayed. He loved his family deeply and treated his nieces and nephews as though they were all his own kids and he was loved equally in return. He truly enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his family and friends. Eddie retired from the City of Knoxville but had spent several earlier years at Plasti-Line. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Reba Hicks; sisters, Audrey Jean Bradd and Jenette Ray.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Kathleen Hicks; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and LeAnn Hicks; grandson, Aaron Hicks; brother, Kenneth Hicks; sister, Arlene Burgess and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1 to 3 PM Saturday, March 21, 2026, with funeral service to follow at 3 PM Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Interment to follow at Ridenour Cemetery, Andersonville. Pallbearers: Paul Hicks, Dennis Brewer, Randy Turner, Aaron Hicks, DeAndre Jones, Gordon Perrin. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
