Eddie Lewis Jess, affectionately known as "Coon," passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Born on September 4, 1954, in Camilla, Georgia, Eddie was cherished by those who knew him for his happy-go-lucky spirit and infectious smile.
Eddie attended Camilla Consolidated High School, embarking on a path that would lead him to become a skilled carpenter. His craftsmanship not only showcased his dedication to his career but also reflected the values of hard work and commitment that he carried throughout his life.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Eddie proudly served in the U. S. Army, where he exemplified the dedication and service of a true patriot. During his time in the military, he received his GED, demonstrating his relentless pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.
Eddie is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mattie Jess and John Lee Jess. While he is deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him, his legacy will continue to inspire countless individuals who were touched by his warmth, kindness, and unwavering positivity.
