Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home & Crematory - Boynton BeachEddy Louis, 82, of West Palm Beach, formerly of Boynton Beach, died Monday, September 29, 2025. Eddy was born March 29, 1943, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, a son of Esteban Lantigua and Lucy Leveque. After college, Eddy worked for the Haitian Government as a Photographer. Upon immigrating to the United States, he was a Taxi Driver for 36 years in New York. He relished his time in the kitchen, especially when he was able to cook meat pie or bake cheesecake. But his favorite past-time was when he was able to take walks with his grandchildren along the beach and Intracoastal Waterway.
Eddy is survived by his sons, Woody Louis, Eddy Louis, Jr.; daughter, Dr. Vanessa Jennifer Louis, DO; brothers, Pepito (Lena) Lantigua, George Leveque; sister, Josette Leveque; his former wife, Marie Valcourt; eight grandchildren, Anthony Louis, Jayden Louis, Jaylen Louis, Ariel Louis, Elijah Louis, Rebekah Louis, Joseph Louis, Moses Louis; and his great-grandchildren, Faith and Leylani Louis.
Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at SCOBEE-COMBS-BOWDEN FUNERAL HOME, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lantana, with Rev. Fr. Eli St. Fort presiding. Committal Services and burial will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
