Edgar Thomas Morin

Edgar Thomas Morin, Jr., 81, beloved husband of Carol (Robinson) Morin, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born at Cary Hospital in Caribou, ME on March 21, 1944, the son of the late Edgar S. and Evelyn D. (Sutherland) Morin.

He took pride in his northern Maine and Canadian heritages and was of French, French Acadian, Irish and Scottish descent. He was a veteran of both the US Army and the US Army National Guard. He was also a founding father of American Legion Post 209 in Forestville, CT.

In addition to his wife Carol of 53 years, he is survived by his son Edgar T. Morin, III of Plantsville and grandchildren Alexis, Matthew and Emma; his daughter Monica and her husband Michael Barr of Bristol and grandchildren Ethan and Jacob Reynolds and Alexis Barr; his daughter Melissa and her husband Thomas Lavan of Bristol and grandchildren Aiden, Liam, Olivia and Madison. He is also survived by his aunt Jackie (Mrs. Delmar Morin) and his aunt Claire (Mrs. Wilson Morin) and many cherished cousins, friends, former co-workers and special legionnaires.

He was predeceased by his sister Della Marie and his brother Edward David Morin.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 6, 2026 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol CT from 4 PM until the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM with military honors.
